Customer Reviews
Where else can you find a golf course and campground combo? In the campground there are plenty of power and water hookups for travel trailers or tents ($15/night), a primitive camping area, a couple large shelter areas with large built in grills, plenty of picnic tables and vault toilets. Overall a very clean campground. There is also a public 9 hole golf course with sand greens on the property. All of the greens have the necessary tools needed to smooth putting lanes and reset the sand for the next golfers. Good yardage on the fairways - there is even a water hazard on one hole. The green fee is only $2. No clubhouse so bring your own beer and cart.
Buckley Creek was a perfect spot to enjoy one of the last evenings of summer. The sunset over the lake and sand golf course was beautiful and the campground was very quiet. The bathroom facilities and shelters were nicely maintained and looked recently repainted. The grills at the shelters were some of the best campground charcoal grills I have ever used and they had awesome lids and ash clean out on the grill making dinner super easy. Definitely recommend! Visit the Rose Creek WMA nearby and hike to the mausoleum.
Great camping with electrical and water hookups. A beautiful 9-hole sand green golf course that is only $2 to play. Multiple shelters for free use.
Very pretty, super quiet.
