This campground is at a beautiful location but the campground itself has its quirks. Rates for everyone are increasing due to "costs to run the park". Even though rates are increasing, it isn't 100% justified. The campground lacks a lot of things, first and foremost being amenities. Just expect to park your camper or pitch a tent and entertain yourself. 1. The boat launch is horrendous and unusable. "Launch at your own risk". 2. Shower tokens are only obtained when a manager is available which is outdated. Use quarters or something that can be obtained without relying on presence of a manager. 3. If you've got kids, there is only a volley ball court and a swing set. 4. There are no amenities like a gift shop, highly limited access to a representative during most hours, no club house or pavilion to escape from the bad weather, there are no games for the kids, no vending machines, no access to camping necessities besides firewood. 5. There are no campground hosted activities. The seasonal campers put on events and invite everyone. The saving grace is access to the river and a beach. This campground would be more successful with investments put in by ownership to make it more attractive and enticing to stay at.
This is the cleanest/friendliest campground we have ever visited. We enjoyed our time here, close access to the bike trails and just over the bridge from the nice downtown area. Would highly recommend. The bathhouse/showers were impeccable! Close access to enjoy the Wisconsin river as well with a small beach for the family.
What a delightful hidden gem along the River! This charming riverside resort offers a perfect blend of relaxation and outdoor recreation.
Cozy campground off of the WI river. The new owners have made great improvements and continue making it better! The campers are like a second family, it's my home away from home! The views are wonderful, even my dog agrees!
Campground is ok. I like the location but not the experience. I prefer a more secluded experience. This is a grassy parking lot, right off a busy highway. Bath house requires a token for a shower and the office has limited hours. Not a terrible campground but look to see if you can find something better.
