My family will never camp here again. We’ve been camping here for over 15 years and this year was the worst experience. The new host is on his high horse and lies about the rules. He calls the sheriff to escort to him to issue a warning. You are no longer allowed to plug two RV’s into power at the same spot. We don’t know that’s a new rule and we’ve been camping for years with no problems. We got a warning and after that we followed the rule, plug in one RV at a time. The following morning the host checked the box twice 4am and 7am, agreed we were complying with rules. Then an hour later the host comes with TWO Sherriff’s to disconnect the main camp power so we have no power anymore, with no explanation at all. But the neighbors a campsite over can party and fight outside LOUD past 3am and not get a warning or anything. This campground is a joke and not maintained well, the bathrooms are disgusting. Never coming back.
My family and I have visited this park but this will be our last visit. It is sad to see that they do not enforce their rules. We were calling to let them know that in unit PL6 and Pl7, there were screams and loud music, and no one answered, there is no security to check that everything is okay. It was 3 in the morning and until that time stop making noise you pay for fun but you also charge for one to follow your rules and they are not followed.I know you come to relax and have fun but at 3 in the morning with the music blaring
Stayed in Buena Vista Campground. Great place to relax and unwind. Very serene. We stayed in site 49 (which has a waterfront view). Only catch was that there were water sprinklers nearby so we got soaked a little. There's a lot of bugs here (mainly cockroaches, gnats, and woodlice).
It's ok for a little family experience in camping. I just appreciate the wilder side of nature. Natural lakes and less people.. I'm sorry but Id suggest you check it out for yourself. It's just not for me... Drive another hour and see the wild Kern River and huge natural lake Isabella in the Sequoia national Forest... Have fun and if you pack it in pack it out. Keep our forest clean. Thank you
Spacious. Quiet. Don't even bother using anything other than the port-a-potties-- they're in working condition and are a lot cleaner than alternatives. There's plenty of water access. No hiking trails. Convenience store and a gas pump
