Outstanding camping, RV campground. Great friendly staff, very reasonable prices and accommodations such has shower and laundry facilities. Stayed in September 2024 for 4 days in the Buffalo Bill Cody cabin and will be back this year for the annual Black Hills ride to stay at Buffalo Ridge Camp resort. The store on-site also has some drinks, snacks, gifts, and other goodies. Great place to stay!
We stayed there two summers ago and we can't stop talking about our experience! Some stayed in the glamping tent- which has been said by one as her favorite thing of the whole trip!!, kids teenagers stayed in a TeePee, and us two old farts stayed in a wedge house. The park was very clean. I love the frame over the tent to prevent inclement weather or dew on the tent! Wonderful experience! I've been requested to make sure we stay again here in 2028!
We are from MN- went here for the second time in June 2024 on our way to Yellowstone/ Tetons. My kids have been begging to come back to Buffalo Ridge since we came as a part of a Badlands trip in 2021. Buffalo Ridge is clean, gorgeous, and definitely feels like a resort. The poolside food is very reasonably priced so the kids had so much fun ordering whatever they wanted. As a vegetarian family, we were grateful to see so many choices for us. The pool and hot tub are incredible, and the camper cabins, glamping tents, and tipis are all just awesome. I don’t love to shop, but I even bought myself a cute dress in their shop. I’m so glad I dedicated a couple days on this trip simply to enjoy this resort!
Serenity Tree House: First night we had no hot water or water pressure. The beds are not very large for 2 adults to sleep on. No hooks to hang things except for 3 towels in the bathroom. No coat hooks and no night stands in the downstairs bed area. All dishes are at eye level of our 1 year old which isnt very good. Front desk sent maintenance yo try to fix our water issue, they felt empathetic we are here with 4 kids and no water pressure. Will update if its fixed!
Had a great time! We got an economy cabin and a small log cabin. Not good pics online, so I made sure to take some. The cabins were small like I expected, but clean and in good shape. Nice not having to set up a tent! The staff is relaxed, making our stay with our big family very easy. The staff offered heaters for our cabin at no cost, for the cold nights. Bathrooms clean, coffee was always hot and fresh. Playground nearby and a swingset right by the log cabins was always in use by our toddler.
