We go there at least three times every summer because it’s beautiful and clean the property is very well maintained and safe they have security and the local police make their rounds nightly! It’s pet friendly at some of the sections and you’re right on the lake. Only down fall is it’s become so popular you have to go online and make your reservations to get the best spots on opening day in February each year they book very quickly! People camp in campers like we do and also tents it has water and electric hook ups in most spots and priced accordingly to the hook ups you require or want! If you want to wake up to a beautiful lake every morning and a clean environment it’s the place for you! You can dock your boat right there or any other water toys you may have! You can Bring your own wood for campfires set up on each spot or purchase it there and right at the entrance there’s a little store that has reopened for those little things you forgot and need! If not you can go to Walmart about 15-20 minutes away give or take. If you’ve never been there I highly recommend you try it out once and I promise you won’t be disappointed. We have camped many places and by far this was the cleanest camp ground and has a beautiful view and the lake right in front of you. Hope you get to experience the nature and beauty! It also had play grounds shower and restrooms and big picnic shelters on each section. Looking for a good place to spend family time together look no further Bulltown is the place you’re looking for……
This campground is beautiful there is abcde loops in which a& b are only for camping which have few sites and lonely areas so dont book that instead cde are for RV, tent and campers which is great with fully packed people and sites are preety close to each other .we booked D-25 site which is close to lake .bathrooms are pretty good clean and well maintain hot water also coming .one can find common picnic areas in cde loops which can also be used as shelter if there is heavy rain .no network available in the campgrounds but when u coming to sutton and heaters town u got your network back . Which is 15 min from campground.
Enjoying a campsite with full hook up (no cable) and a water view, smooth lake surface kayaking and solitude, this campsite is a five star experience. Shower houses always clean and stocked on our visit. There is historical value with a primitive museum and buildings you can visit. By solitude, I am referring to being “unplugged”. No local tv signal, take a walk to get two bars on your phone. I purchased the camp Wi fi, but had no consistent internet connection while using it. No streaming. Just enjoy the peaceful views. Enjoyed seeing an eagle fly over and a mink swimming as we kayaked. Posted a pic of the mink.
Great camping for the whole family. Our (pet friendly) site was shady and well maintained. We went on the tour and found the old homesteads and their stories quite fascinating! Beautiful place to visit, highly recommend.
By far one of the best campgrounds we have ever stayed at! So much to do and very relaxing! We are a family that loves to camp by the water! We camped in C17, was plenty big enough for our 30ft Springdale. Great for kids, playgrounds are wonderful! We spent the weekend, but definately needed longer here!! Bathhouses were very clean. My only complain is, the charge for internet service - cell service is spotty (we had NO service) and I realize when you are camping, you should be together as a family BUT .... the rates for internet is terrible!
Nestled back into the hills of WV is Burnsville Lake. A short distance from the interstate and you will find one of the best lakes around. Well laid out camp grounds, some right on the lake, good fishing, playgrounds, hiking trails, bike paths, staff who patrol the area and the friendliest people around is the reason we go back year after year.
