I came here once in 2020 and LOVED this campground. Clean, peaceful and barely any people and the management was so attentive and sweet. Flash forward to this summer and it's the complete opposite. First the seasonals are rude, inconsiderate and almost like high school drama antics. ( they fly in their golf carts, take up the whole beach areas, stare and gossip at everyone, as they fly by your site they stare and look at everything you do and you have absolutely no privacy it's that uncomfortable.) They do not monitor or acknowledge quiet hours, children run amuck and scream all day with no supervision which tells you about the type of people who come here. bathrooms and showers were absolutely disgusting, dirty, filled with bugs and all thing's nasty. We had a few females next to us who drove a white car who was actively doing drugs as her children were with her which made me so enraged as we were there a whole week! This place has gone downhill and it's so sad! We will never return and alot of others campers we talked too felt the same. Such a shame
Fun times great spot, short walk to the water and most campsites nicely offset level wise and keeps neighbor noise down. Love the sandy playground. Even the 10 and 14 yr olds had a good time of the wooden ship. Nice double dock for kids to jump off in the swimming area.
Never Again! Site D2 was level and clean on the top of the hill. The lake and swimming area was beautiful with great fishing. The campground has steep hills and narrow curvy roads/golf cart paths with trees at every tight curve. Roads not made for 30 foot campers but they don’t tell you that, ended up trashing my awning on the path they told me to take and there was no way I could swing into the site, had to go back around and take the steepest hill up to the site(thank God for my Cummins). Sites on the top of the hill are a little hike to the lake and if you drive down to the water there is no where to park as all the golf carts take up the whole area ( seasonal parking only I guess). Some people were friendly but most were not. Water pressure was questionable, bathrooms were old but clean, didn’t use the showers used the camper shower instead. Yellow jackets were terrible all week my wife stayed in the camper when I was fishing, had to use a fan to drive them away. The site next us had dogs that barked all day long while they were off doing whatever, but it’s okay for seasonal and there relatives. As I said at the start Never Again.
The campground itself is beautiful and very well maintained. The little beach on the lake is also very well kept and is a nice place to beat the heat. I will say the woman I talked with on the phone when I was making my reservation was not the nicest person and had a bit of an attitude but the people that I interacted with in person were very nice. The only real negative was that many other people used golf carts and went quite fast through the small roadways and were not very cautious of pedestrians walking.
1st timers here. Stayed @ site B14. The wife and I thought it was gonna be a great idea to sleep in a tent with our 8 month old. 🫣😂 We probably would of enjoyed it a little more if we weren't in a heat wave 🥵 but we can't predict the weather. Had to tap out the next day as It was rough for the little guy especially being 89° when we went to bed around 1030pm. We loved the lake and so did our son. We would like to give this place a try again in the future as we loved the campground in itself. Thank you from the Bragg family 🤝 🍻
