Stayed there in mid June, not many folks there that time of year. we were the only campers at Bunker Hill that entire weekend. our site (2) had unrestricted views of the lake, nice and breezy, dusk was a true witching hour for hoards of mosquitos, but they went away at dark when the bevy of bats came out. Saw some eagles and had some large wild animal panting heavily outside our tent at night, likely a wolf or coyote.
We camped in site 5. The campground is small and intimate. Sites 4 and 5 are close together. Sites 1, 2 and 3 are more secluded. But site 2 is the best. The lake access is a bit difficult from Bunker Hill campground. But site 2 has the best access. The lake was calm and this campground is near the dam so the boat traffic is mostly fishing boats. Fish were jumping but I didn't see people pulls out fish. There are lots of birds. A group of deer walked through the camp one night. Lots of mosquitos but no overwhelming. We enjoyed the heck out of our stay.
