Bur Oaks Campground

Overall an amazing place for family and friends to hang out. Affordable for yearly rates and the temp spot is almost always available if you want to come in and test out the campground to see if it’s for you. Amazing owners Dawn, Anthony, and Rachel Finley are attentive to concerns and keep a tight reign for unsafe/unsavory behavior in the pro making this a safe spot to cut the little ones loose to adventure and unplug from the electronic leashes that we all wish they spent less time on. Watching your 9 year old run and play and get dirty with other littles makes every dollar spent worth it. Cons to this place are short but every place has them. For Bur Oaks a pool is a definite must and I believe is on their agenda and of expansion efforts. The sites do not have full sewer hook-ups but there is an amazing full-time resident who bring the “honey wagon” around and emptied your black tank whenever you request it. And that truly is the only two cons for this amazing campground. From March-November this little slice of Americana is your escape from the 50 hour work weeks and long days that we all fall prey to in this rat race we call life. So come on out, build your fire, cut the kids loose on their bikes, crack a beer or bottle of wine with your partner and forget about your problems for the weekend!!! We have signed a 1 year lease and glad we did! This is the first weekend for us and we absolutely love it. Great people and great fun for the family! This place is a great place to get away for the weekend and we are only 1 hour from home. Thank you Mikey and dawn

Well beware he is jekyll and hide. She was very nice on the phone and he was 2 the first time I met him but this time wow. I'm glad I saw it now before we locked into a yr long deal. Then he says sorry. Maybe he had a rough weekend I don't know. But I do know we won't be back. Good luck to them and you all

Nothing but great things to say about this campground. Our kids are grown and still talk about the great times they had in the lake, all the holiday events and especially Halloween. Great people, great fun. Wonderful memories!!!
