The juice isn’t worth the squeeze. This isn’t what you would normally think of for a primitive USFS/DNRC campground. There’s a picnic table. And an open clearing. The road is *rough* getting up there. Especially in early November. The brush along the road showed signs of an attempt at clearing, but my full size long body truck gained some scratches along the way today. There were no views along the road to make the drive worth it. If you’re looking for close but still a little out there camping, the gold creek campground is closer and much nicer with a few dispersed sites.

Miss this place so much. Camping has become such an entitlement and the purpose is being lost. The owners appreciate what they have and just want to share it. Love it respectfully or leave it as a Karen, as they say. It nature vs entitlement. Just enjoy the nature of or leave the state.
