This place is amazing... not many people so that is a plus only three campsite on the top and then one on the river but you can only stay if you dock with a kayak, canoeing or tube

Awesome camp ground right on the river, we’ve been camping here annually since 2002.
Nice small campground - looked like a couple of sites and an outhouse. The kayak launch is a bit of a walk from the campsites, and the trail was muddy at times, but it opens up to a beautiful view of the river at the launch. Buttercup appeared to be one of the more well-marked stops along this part of the Au Sable - most others don't have a true launch or a sign indicating where you're at, they're just a little dirt trail leading up a bank.
Nice secluded place to camp. With 3 drive up and 1 you can walk to on the river. With fire rings, picnic tables, and a open air out house! The river in a 1 min walk down the path.
