It was a really good experience. We booked a cabin. It was facing the lake. The cabin was clean. The view was beautiful and mesmerizing. You could see the lake and the mountains behind it. The facilities were clean and near. The office had fire wood and ice available. They had a very good playground for kids. The hike to Button Bay point was beautiful and super easy, my kids enjoyed it and were able to do it easily. The view from the button Bay point was very beautiful. We were able to catch the sunset
Button Bay State Park is a great place to go camping/RV-ing. We went in a cabin, which was great. There's a twin bunk bed and a full-sized futon. There's one set of 4 outlets, so bring extension cords! Overall, its a great place to stay, with 2 chairs outside. Nearby, there's a pool, playground, and waterfront trails to bike, walk, or hike on!
This place reminded me of growing up in the early 90's. My daughter, now 14, had a great time following a night tour around the park on a Saturday night. The park Rangers put on an educational adventurel at night on Fridays and Saturdays for about 1 hr, and she learned all about different fireflies. The cabins were so cheap, and rally clean. We will never forget the view at the lake, definitely a family favorite now.
Nice state campground. Stayed on site 56 nice and tucked away very and level. Friendly staff and very well maintained facility.
Quiet and peaceful. Very wet this year so there are more bugs. So called handicap bathrooms are not handicap friendly at all. Cell service is ok. Facebook during the day and at night signal is good enough to stream video from your favorite place. During summer A & W Is 35 minutes away.
