I live on the lake so I've never stayed at Buzzard Rock but it's one of the main places we go on the weekends for gas, music, food, drinks, and look forward to their gift shop every year. I find a must-have lake item every time I walk in. It's a hidden little gems that has a unique Ky vibe to it. It's worth the drive by car or water.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿน๐ŸปโœŒ๏ธ

Closing in on end of season, we stopped by via land๐Ÿ˜ฅ. Multiple seating areas, which I love. Seating inside, outside, and screen enclosed. Had an appetizer and a drink. Staff, food and drinks were great. Looked clean. The only thing that is a drawback for me is there is no view of the lake.

We rented a pontoon boat for the day and it did just fine. We had a good time! The staff and guys that helped us at the boat dock were amazing! Very affordable compared to other places that we got prices from.

**A Lament for Buzzard Rock: Once a Culinary Gem, Now a Mere Shadow** Once upon a time, Buzzard Rock was more than just a restaurant; it was a cherished culinary landmark, a place where every bite was a revelation, and every visit felt like a homecoming. The wood-paneled walls and rustic decor whispered stories of a bygone era, while the tantalizing aromas that wafted from the kitchen hinted at a dining experience that was nothing short of extraordinary. Buzzard Rock was the kind of place where the food was as warm as the hospitality, a sanctuary for the soul and the palate alike. But oh, how the mighty have fallen. The Buzzard Rock of today is but a pale reflection of its former self, a relic of a greatness that has long since faded. The menu, once brimming with innovative dishes and local flavors, now feels tired and uninspired. The once-vibrant plates that danced with color and texture have been replaced by lackluster, half-hearted attempts at gastronomy. Where there was once passion and precision, there is now only indifference and mediocrity. Even the ambiance has lost its charm. The once cozy, inviting atmosphere now feels worn and neglected. The decor that used to evoke a sense of nostalgia now looks shabby and dated, a sad reminder of the restaurant's better days. The buzz of happy diners has been replaced by an eerie quiet, punctuated only by the clatter of dishes and the occasional sigh of disappointment. It is with a heavy heart that I bid farewell to Buzzard Rock. The memories of what it once was will always hold a special place in my heart, but the reality of what it has become is too painful to bear. It is no longer a place of joy and comfort, but a testament to lost potential and unfulfilled promise. The spark that once made it special has been extinguished, leaving only the faintest echoes of a once-glorious past. Buzzard Rock, you were once a beacon of culinary excellence. Now, you are but a shadow, a ghost of your former self. The sorrow of your decline is matched only by the frustration of what might have been. Farewell, old friend. You will be missed.

I rented a pontoon boat for the day and had a blast. The prices are much more affordable than Hubies. Marina. Not to mention the other marina has employees that are absolutely the rudest people i've ever met. Buzzard rock you've got my repeat business.
