Definitely one of the cutest campgrounds I have ever stayed at. My wife and I were up for the weekend and will definitely come back. The campground is clean and neat with large sites and a peaceful surrounding. The owners are super nice and helpful. If you are a wine fanatic, there is no shortage of local wineries.
Spent a lot of time here and its a great campground. Creek is great for kids, good park area. Not a real drawback, but usually booked, so have to plan ahead.
I seriously can't recommend this place enough! It has everything you need: if you camp with kids, there's a creek, playground, gem mining and plenty of space between sites... If you are an adult looking for something to do in the evening - there are all the wineries. You're into nature? There are hiking trails! And the campground is just so well maintained and pretty and the owners are so welcoming! Bathrooms are amazing, there's coffee in the morning, there are organized events... Best place ever!
What a wonderful place! My wife and I recently purchased a camper, and this was our 2nd outing with it. The RV sites were laid out very thoughtfully, and we loved that it was a small, quiet campground as we have a young dog who is quite shy. The firewood burned great, and we had no trouble getting a fire going each night. The restrooms stayed super clean & we enjoyed that it was 2 individual shower rooms, each equipped with a toilet, sink, shower & shelf for belongings. Great, friendly owners & close to several local NC wineries! Don't miss Byrd's Branch! We'll be back!
I stayed at Byrd's Branch campground when our original camping plans got turned sidewise because of Hurricane Helene damage. Was looking for somewhere that was open near to the original plan and found this place. It was awesome! There were five of us and we booked two of the tent sites. The tent sites are away from the RV's so no generator noise keeping you up. The bathhouse is fabulous. Most importantly the owners are fabulous! We forgot to buy firewood before the store closed early for a chili cookoff (another bonus of changing original plans) but they still drove a couple of bundles down to our campsite for us. Carter Falls trail is right next to the campground and an easy and beautiful hike. We spent the day cycling through some beautiful countryside. We hope to camp here again!
Nice small campground Just passing thru and only stayed one night. We will be staying one more night on our way back through. Clean and fairly flat spaces.
Our first time staying out there and it was lovely. Sites are spacious and clean. Lots of walking trails. Owners are awesome and are very attentive to their guests. Can’t wait to return again.
