Absolutely loved our Host Bob Schools very kind and helpful and stuck by the rules. Peaceful BUT there are millions of little flying on webs worms! They get all over everything! Would have stayed longer but the worms were such a pain!
The hiking trail just off of this campground is beautiful. Well maintained and easy to manage. It can get a little narrow at certain parts with a steep edge into the river. Might avoid with young children.
We spent five minutes here and we’re already planning our return. The camp host was so delightful and she made our stay all the more lovely. The accommodations there were more than enough and the sites were very nice. We stayed in site 5- pictures to follow.
Set off in the mountains, this small Campground is close to all the local attractions; Yellowstone National Park, geological and historical sites, shopping and dining in West Yellowstone, fishing, animalwatching. Vault toilets, friendly camphost, pet friendly. No hookups but very quiet and clean.
Cabin Creek is a national forest service campground directly across the street from a resort Campground. It offers pit toilets and one spigot. It is a very small campground it tends to fill up quickly due to its proximity to Yellowstone. It is absolutely gorgeous, quiet and peaceful. If you follow the dirt road across the street it takes you down to a popular fly fishing spot just on the other side of the dam. It also has an exquisitely beautiful trail for a short stroll and wildlife viewing. There are roosting Bald Eagles. It is not to be missed.
