I can't say enough positive things about this place. The bathrooms were well kept, and the camping area was well maintained. The hiking was great & the boats were fun - the lake is so peaceful & quiet!! We came here as a Cub Scout Pack, and everyone enjoyed their time and the location - everyone's first time coming (from Jacksonville)! My only suggestion would be better oversight on the boat rentals - it seemed that the two younger employees last Saturday were quite lackadaisical in handing out keys and life vests which caused some people to get a little upset (other campers outside our group) & one group had significantly loud music playing for a long time (you could hear it across the lake) and they brushed it off when two different camping groups asked the employees to address it - their response was they shouldn't be there that long. It took away from the peace & quiet for a while, but other than that, our weekend there was AMAZING!!
This was a very nice park with lots of great features and hospitable staff. The lake is just a picturesque setting for your day. Hope to make it back soon.
Quaint. Tent camping with bathrooms nearby. Nice view at the lake with fishing and hiking.
Absolutely stunning views. Huge lake for exploring on my new kayak. The bathroom is clean. Ample parking. Can’t wait to camp next Summer!
Myself and my dog Bonnie booked a tent site last minute and hiked in. They stayed open a little late just for me to check in. The campsite itself is gorgeous as are the views. Restrooms are clean and the place was nice and quiet. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
