Customer Reviews
Tent camper here. The sites are as expected. Campsites are flat and pretty well maintained. Easy access to electricity. Multiple hiking paths with views of the lake. All of the employees Ive dealt with have been super nice. And bathrooms / showers are clean and always close by.
Love this campground! I tent camped at site 28. The nearest shower/restroom is about 2 min walk. The shower house has 3 toilet stalls and 3 shower stalls. Most campers have an RV, so the shower house is usually empty and clean. It's a big campground and the campsites are so spacious. Most have electric but a few don't. A few little hiking trails and MTB trail too. I will definitely come back to camp here!
The campgrounds have a lot of campsites and they are nice large campsites, but with little shade. The staff are nice. Beautiful lake with amazing sunsets! The restrooms and showers could use some work. And it would be nice if they added more full hookup sites. Overall we will be back.
Awesome, we visited Caesar Creek two years ago and in my opinion it was ok and made it to the revisit list (it rained that weekend and I know that altered my judgement). This trip we booked and stayed in the same loop as before since we did not have any issues last time and it was close to 2 bathrooms (with one being a shower house as well). This loop is centrally located for our many nite time strolls and close to a small play area for the grands. For the record it rained this weekend as well but the experience was very different. They have really been working to make improvements here. The sites have new blacktop drives, concrete pads where your awning can nicely cover, updated sites that are now full hookup in the entire half of this loop, and a concrete pad where the electric post, water and sewer inlets are located. The fire 🔥 rings are huge and they sit off the ground to allow plenty of air flow. The icing on the cake is the sites are not too close together and there are trails that are right behind us and you have a lake view from the trails. My only constructive comment is for them to freshen up the bathrooms more often (spiders and webs everywhere) and give the bathrooms a mini make over. Reminding you this is still nice for a state park but with the park itself being so nice it would make this place amazing. Word of mouth and positive reviews will definitely keep this place busy. I have to add my selfish wants which would be a laundry facility. Lastly, the beach is nice small and quaint and the boat dock is nice as well.
We camped for two nights with out two kids. We had fun making food on the fire and teaching the kids about the different bugs and creatures we saw wondering around. We went kayaking in the lake at the nearby boat ramp and we let the kids run around and play at the beach nearby. The kids were sad to leave and we're begging to stay another night. The shower house was newly updated which was a nice surprise.
Super cool Irish lady at the check in store. Very helpful and sweet. Nice spots. We tent camped at space 128. Just enough flat ground behind the parking spot, for an 8 person tent. Anything more and you'll be sloped. Playground behind us has 4 swings, a tetherball set up and a sand box. Nothing special but it rained all day so our son didn't use it anyway. Very clean and nice bathroom right across the way. Well maintained grass.
Nice campground. Older with mostly unlevel sites. Lots of playgrounds for kids to play. Also very clean. Some newer bathhouses. Biggest complaint is how you fill your water tank. They have very small slow trickle water stations positioned randomly on the loops. Would really be happy if they added water to each site. There is a few full hook ups but those all booked all season long. So book early.
Quiet and clean campground. Playground and bath house need to be updated. We love camping here in spring/fall. The camping lot is bigger than other state park.
