Cambria Hotel College Park

Great location if you are visiting the UMD campus. Several restaurants within walking distance (I recommend the Board and Brew). Rooms are nice and clean. However for some strange reason, they do not have Smart TVs. This is a newer hotel and very modern in other ways.🤷🏼‍♀️

I want to go home and I’ve only been here several hours. I LOVE staying in hotels and it is what I need most when I have to get away from home for a day or two. However, this hotel is one of the WORST experiences I’ve ever had. I can’t sleep because of the darn light outside and my black out shades do not work. I’m exhausted and the room is just not a warm environment. Maybe it’s the area but I have totally wasted my money. If you want great quality experience, and I stay in all different brand hotels, go elsewhere.

Great choice for a decent hotel and a decent price. They got us a room at no notice (we just showed up and asked...) they have parking oposite. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in excellent decorative condition, very clean, very modern. The check in and out was easy and efficient. Very happy with my stay.

Was just passing through and decided on this hotel given the ratings. Was a tad pricey but I have no complaints (around $267 after tax)and Kevin was very accommodating. The place was clean and pet friendly, right by the University. There is a private garage to park your car but be forewarned, they charge for it. Showers are very nice , I just wanted to add that because it makes a difference for me. They also offer Vet discounts, so if you're military, don't forget to ask.

I enjoyed my stay here, BUT there are many things to improve. At arrival, staff was minimally polite, but bedrooms were roomy, clean and boasted a contemporary design with functionalities that I have not found in other hotels, such as bluetooth speakers in the bathroom's mirror and electric-operated shades. I figured that it started to get pricey when I learned that parking would cost me USD 12 extra/day, and no breakfast is offered, neither a coffee in the lobby. I spent a week here, so it was not convenient for me. The hotel run an automated system that kept texting me, inquiring about possible questions, and overall satisfaction. I replied 3 times with requests and never heard back from them. In this case, it was pretty annoying to get texts that had no function other than pretending to be for customer care.. it clearly isn't. The little fridge in the room was set to minimum and the dial that allows for change was removed. The gym had nice equipment, even though one of the machines was broken for the whole time I was there. I barely could keep a drink refrigerated in that thing. In summary, this hotel had everything to be my favorite in the area, but it failed to convince me to come back the next time. Will see!
