A beautiful place to relax and disconnect. This small campground has about 10 large sites, some with partial hook up. Clean, peaceful, good hiking/walking, bathroom, shower, lake views, swimming beach … Downsides for RVing: dump station is 15-20 miles away, and the road in is horrible! We could only go 2-5 mph.
We loved staying here. The road leading to the campsite is terrible and hard on any vechile but it is so worth it for this little piece of paradise. Rick the host and his wife is amazing and very kind. He made sure to check on us everyday and give love to our pets. The trail around the lake is super easy to walk and has beautiful wildlife. Rick put gnomes out to go gnome hunting to keep the walk interesting which was great and we did the gnome hunt every day. It was such a fun thing to do to get us outside. We loved it here.
Best place I could have picked for my first solo camp trip. The park is amazing and the Camp Host Col. Bobby was friendly, helpful and kept the place clean (bathrooms too), with obvious pride. The lake is the perfect place to cool off after a day of hiking in the Florida summer heat! Loved this place and will be back again soon!
Very well maintained campground with beautiful scenery. This is a pet friendly campground for leashed pets. We did a lot of walking and really liked the 1.25 mile trail around the lake. We also enjoyed fishing and caught a few bass which we released. They don't allow you to bring in your own firewood and have some for sale. The campsite water pressure was good. The campground showers and restrooms were always clean. This campground is very secluded and peaceful. The only downside was the rough 2 mile dirt road going in. The hosts, Rick & Kay we're awesome! Our dog Lucy loved them!
Loved this place first time there drove 5 hours to go there and couldn't of been happier. Small campground but beautiful separated sites by lots of trees it is private. Some sites have electric and water some don't. Wasn't a deal breaker. Kimberly the camp host was very pleasant and besides blowing the dirt road at 830 am she was fantastic. Would go back . This is also bear country up there but we didn't see none. The lake is beautiful the trails are great. Must see place.
