Cameron Lake Resort Introduce

Located on Chalet Rd in Qualicum Beach, British Columbia, Cameron Lake Resort operates within the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, offering seasonal camping opportunities near a beautiful lake. While the area itself is highly regarded for its natural beauty, recent reviews provide important insights into the resort experience.

Environment: The resort is situated in a beautiful area with access to Cameron Lake. Reviewers mention a "nice beach" and a "beautiful lake" accessible via railway trails and a public beach. However, it's noted that public beaches on the highway side may have parking limitations. The campground itself experiences loud road noise at night due to its proximity to the road.

Services & Features: Cameron Lake Resort is described as a seasonal campground with below-average and overpriced showers that may take a long time to get hot, with the possibility of hot water running out. Some long-term campers reportedly engage in activities like building on their sites without explicit permission. The resort is characterized by inflexible rules, with one reviewer citing an instance where a 75-year-old mother was not allowed to stay at the site without the registered camper being present, even for a short trip to the store. Another issue reported was frequent questioning and gate stops for a renter's wife to verify her access to their rented spot.

Promotional Information: While Cameron Lake Resort benefits from its location in a beautiful area with lake access, potential visitors should be aware of several concerns raised in recent reviews. These include loud road noise at night, potentially overpriced and unreliable showers, significant fee increases in the second year, and inflexible rules that may impact guests. It is advised to pay very close attention to the campground rules before booking. Despite the beautiful surroundings, the reported issues suggest a potentially less-than-ideal camping experience for some. Nice beach. Beautiful area. Seasonal campground is below average over priced showers that take forever to get hot if you get there before all the hot water is gone.road noise is loud at night. Got a 30 percent increase in the fee in the second year and because it doesn't fall under renters guidelines nothing I could do either pay or leave. People who have been camping here longer can do as they please including building on your own site with out asking. Pay very close attention to the rules there is no flexibility I had my 75 year old mother at my site and was told she could not stay if I wasn't there while I ran to the store. Not a good experience . My wife was asked everytime she came up who she was and was stopped at the gate to explain she a rent's the spot. But I do access the beautiful lake through the railway trails and public beach. I gave it a higher rating because of how beautiful the area is.

It is a bit rocky and quite close to the highway so there is lots of traffic noise, but it is a nice place to swim in the summer to cool off. There are picnic table to enjoy a meal at and there are some cool tree roots and little paths.

One of the most beautiful places on Vancouver Island. Stayed here with my fiancée and dog. Gorgeous views, crystal-clear lake and a very friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend.
