Beautiful, tranquil camp with an amazing central fire ring. The river was full and fast flowing, very cold but refreshing. Picnic tables and a toilet are great. No running water. Nice trails along the river and only a short drive to McCloud falls. Keep all food locked away, there are critters. (Pepperoncini fans apparently, haha!)
Nice campground but beware LOTS of Mosquitoes and no fish unless you are near a stocking truck. And this site is next to day use site that rude people fill up the garbage containers with tons of home garbage (I was there and saw it) I have camped up their most of my life and it now gets very crowded during any weekend or holiday.
My favorite place in California. Visited this campsite multiple times. Even got married at camp 4. My only suggestion would be another set of garbage cans. But it's my paradise 💖
Nice place for groups. Sensational location. Swimming hole nearby. Really nice spot
Ideal camping environment with a river to swim and kayak.
