Nice & quiet! We stayed in Stargazer. This was in the northeast corner and felt very private. Only one cabin next to us. We had the perfect view of the lake. We watched swans and other birds.
Beautiful views of Little Pleasant Lake. Very nicely kept vintage cottages, very charming great for families, lots to do volleyball beach boats canoes kayaks. We stayed in fireside cottage, very nicely kept! We’ll return!
Peaceful resort with clean lakeside cabins. We stayed in the Tackle Box cabin which was cozy and vintage. One caveat, this cabin has a low ceiling so if you're taller than 6 ft you may have to watch your head in a few areas. Owners are attentive and very accommodating. Lake is small but holds some nice fish, rowboat at the resort are workable. Looking forward to our next visit.
We rented the lodge. It is an old building. If I had to guess it was built in the 30s or 40s. The floor is very uneven and has soft spots. I would not take an elderly person or someone that has walking difficulties here. The upper level is an attic. The ceiling is very low. Anyone 5' 5" would hit thier head. It is very dark inside. They need to add more lights. The listing states rooms have a twin and a double. It is misleading. It is a bunk bed the double is the bottom bunk and the twin is the top. Luckily we didn't need to use all the beds because we were all adults and we were not about to get on top of the bunk. The gas fireplace didn't work. We contacted the owner and they responded quickly. The toilet downstairs had hot water in it so your under carriage got a steam bath when used. Small sugar ants did appear on the counter and there were some stink bugs around. The batteries were missing in the smoke detector in the kitchen.
Were leaving tomorrow morning but we have enjoyed our vacation so much! Very relaxing, clean, quiet, even our dog had tons of fun. The water in the cottage does have a very strong smell so if your not used to it then it can be shocking. The owner is also very accomidating. Overall we have had a blast and definitely plan to come back next year.
