🙏 **Experience Adventure and Growth: Camp Chippewa and Retreat Center**
For families and groups across Kansas seeking a destination that seamlessly blends outdoor adventure with spiritual growth and focused retreat time, **Camp Chippewa and Retreat Center** in Ottawa stands out as a premier choice. As a United Methodist Camp and Retreat Center, its core mission is to provide an atmosphere in a simple outdoor setting where individuals can **"experience the presence of God in nature; form a relationship with Jesus Christ and others; and nurture one's journey"**. This dual focus means the camp offers more than just recreational facilities; it provides a foundational setting for personal and communal development.
Located on 660 beautiful acres within the historical Chippewa Hills of Northeast Kansas, the center has been a cherished local resource for generations. It caters to a wide audience—from children attending beloved **Day Camps** and **Week-Long Overnight Camps** (as rave reviews attest to the children’s love for the daily activities and spiritual learning) to youth groups, churches, families, and even companies utilizing the facilities for dedicated **retreats and events**. Camp Chippewa is a welcoming destination where faith and fun truly come together, creating memories and building character.

The Day Camp is awesome, my children love going everyday. They look forward to learning and growing spiritually as well as all the fun filled activities. Courtney is a blessing and so helpful!
I went here for d.a.r.e. camp when i was at the end of 5th grade 2013 at Lincoln elementary school and i loved it the problem i had and still have is the fear of the unknown and i couldn't do the kayaking because of my main fear if murky or non clear water i can see through but i got 3rd place in archery and then i got 5th with the bb gun cause i was never with bb guns mainly probably the fact wind resistance has huge roll on the bb being shot with less power again the wind and it would affect the trajectory and the fact the kinect force would be drastically changed so in my opinion bb suck as a starter gun to teach how to handle an actual hunting rifle due to the many differences in how they work anyways extremely recommend this place and that therapy ranch out there by Rantoul KS also a good place to spend 1 week at either volunteering or visiting with your children or sending on a field trip!
The day camp is amazing! My children look forward to going each day. Swimming, fishing, archery, jungle gym, numerous activities to keep them busy all summer long. All while learning the fruits of the spirit!
I really love this camp! Boots and Bibles were a great experience for me.
All the counselors, CIT's, Wranglers, and fellow campers are so nice and friendly! I would honestly live at Camp Chippewa if I could. All the horses are taken excellent care of, and are easy to guide. The cabins are really nice, even air conditioned! There are also other activities such as archery, fishing, crafts, giant connect 4, Shiskaball, tetherball, Seleobox, a sand volleyball court, and a pool! I don't think I will ever leave.
