Came here with my five year old son for our first time camping and his first time fishing. Shane, Cyndi, and all the staff were very kind and helpful. Leading up to our trip, they responded promptly to our questions. We really enjoyed our campsite (204) – it was more private with ample shade. We also enjoyed the paddle boat. The highlight of our trip was fishing right off the dock with my son catching his very first bluefish and catfish. Highly recommend this campground for inexperienced campers – the indoor plumbing and general store were a plus! 5yo review: Pretty nice, yeah I like it. My favorite was fishing, catching a fish, holding it, and letting it go. The people were nice. I like the shade in our campsite. That’s kind of it.

Camp CDA is great! My boyfriend and I have stayed at the private island site twice now. It is incredibly peaceful and you can not hear the highway whatsoever. The staff is always welcoming and friendly as well. A major plus is the clean showers and restrooms! The only issue I have discovered is that guests are not aware the private island is a tent site and we have had multiple people walk on our site. I love meeting our camping neighbors, but having someone walk outside your tent on your site in the early AM is not ideal. Other than that, this place is great and I hope they can fix something about that, as the private island is a great site!

My kids and I love this place. We were so glad that they didn’t close down last year! We come out here to camp at least once a year. It’s our family tradition. It’s beautiful. Our favorite campsite is 207. Private and very spacious area. Plenty of trees and nature to hike. Has everything you need to still feel comfortable including full bathrooms, showers, community kitchen, and electricity.

Really pretty campground with nice water access and good facilities. Flushing toilets, good water pressure, and hot water in the showers makes for good bathrooms. The camp store is well stocked and has good hours . The whole place is really clean and well kept. The RV spots are flat. I feel like this would be a great place to come with a group. The main negative here is you can hear the road, but overall I would come back here.

We had a fantastic time staying two nights here. Check in process was super easy, staff were all very friendly, and welcoming. If you buy wood there, they deliver it to your site which is convenient. Tent sites have portapotties (cleanest I’ve ever seen) nearby, so you don’t have to walk up to bathrooms. Bathrooms were extremely clean and well maintained. Showers were plenty hot and everything worked well. The tent sites themselves were well maintained and had a great view of the lake. They also sell snacks, drinks, some grocery related things, as well as ice at the office. My only con would be that the office closes at 6:00, so it limits how late you can buy wood especially if you spend all day in town. Overall, it was a great experience, and we would 100% go back, and recommend it to everyone!
