Customer Reviews
The campground is nice, but the bathrooms could be better Mold and and rust in the grout. Also bugs and mold buildup at the bottom of shower. Dead bugs hanging from ceiling. Could do a much better job keeping them clean. Also upon entering park, we were met with a host that could use some customer service training.
I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share some feedback about a recent experience I had while visiting Camp Edison on 9/14. While my family and I were looking forward to enjoying a day at the lake, we had an unfortunate interaction with a staff member at the front entrance. We were briefly looking for our card to pay, which took less than a minute, when the staff member said, "Are we doing this or not?" This comment felt rushed and lacked proper etiquette, which created an uncomfortable start to what was meant to be a relaxing day with my family. I understand that customer service can be demanding, but interactions like this can leave a lasting negative impression. I believe that with the right attitude and training, all guests can have a more welcoming experience. I’m hopeful that this feedback can be used to ensure that future visitors are met with the courtesy and patience that enhances their time at Camp Edison.
We came up here and got a site that we didn't realize was an rv site when we booked because it said the site allowed 2 tents. We checked in and they new we didn't have an rv. Then they drove by twice while we were settling up and didn't say anything. Then we get a call at 5p that we have to move by a very rude woman named Renee. He was very aggressive and angry. They only offered site 12 that had no spot for tents. Another employee told us "yeah site 12 is a bad one." Our rv neighbors don't even understand why they are making us move. Edison said "if other people with tents see you then we will have tents in those spots because they are nice." So because I don't own an rv I'm not allowed to have one of the nice spots eventhough I paid for it. On top of all this I am disabled and they knew that but still made up pickup our entire camp and setup a new campsite or have to leave. I will never come back and after how I was treated I would never reccomend anyone with disabilities go to this awful campground. When my brother went to the office he asked for a different site with more tent room and they had several open sites that they were not going to tell us about that were way better. Very rude and disrespectful staff. And someone on the rv side pooped in a urinal in the bathroom, so maybe it would be a good idea to get more tent people who don't poop in a urinal.
The General store was slim pickins and really dusty more than i remember didnt use the facilitirs but my family said they were very clean and kept up so i give that a couple thumbs up while at the marina couldnt buy a fishing lic. cause employees didnt know how to do it thats a thumbs downover all i guess i would say its ok not my first oick next camping trip
First time going there and it was awesome! I just did the day use but had so much fun with family and friends. I'm definitely going back again. I especially liked the fact that they stop admitting at a certain capacity. It didn't feel like it was overcrowded even at max capacity.
This was my first time here and I thought it was great. Friendly staff. Super clean grounds. Nice bathroom and shower. Very quiet the last week of April. I'm sure it gets super crowded during the summer. Don't forget to buy a shower card to use the showers.
We camped here this week and we were very happy! Very friendly employees, clean and we absolutely loved how they have rules for loud music and noise from 10pm-7am (quiet hours). It’s nice to be able to relax and sleep peacefully. Also, how the care takers go around checking everything is okay. We will come back! Thank you for the awesome experience we had here as a first time family camping with little kids. I will recommend to others! 👍🏼🙂
This place has nice campgrounds but it felt more stressful than it was worth. Bottom line if you want to camp anywhere with a group larger than 2 I wouldn’t recommend this place. They patrol alll night and it doesn’t feel as nature-y as many other campgrounds in the shaver area. on the plus staff is friendly and helpful, and the location is hard to beat. also the campsite we stayed in the electrical sockets were broken.
The area is alright but you have better options for Shaver. They said our group was too loud and getting noise complaints. Then out of the blue called the sheriffs office to kick us out. They wouldn’t even listen to our side or the fact that another group was the one making noise. I’ll never come back here, don’t waste your money on these scum they’re nothing but a bunch of racists.
