Customer Reviews
I have taken my family here several times; however I will never return. It's got a pretty veneer here - great location, clean campsites, a roller coaster to ride - def a lot going for it. However, the customer service here sucks - I paid a tremendous price to stay here last 4th of July (it was almost $400/night) and had a really poor experience with workers being incredibly rude to me and my 8 year old daughter. I wrote to management to get a response and was ignored. I was sent a survey about my stay - I rated it poor, based on that interaction and lack of response from management - and asked that I be contacted and was again ignored. I really can't imagine paying almost $400/night to RV camp anywhere else in Texas and then being treated poorly by staff and ignored by management. It's been half a year and I'm still mad at the way they run this place. For that kind of money, you can get a genuinely luxurious stay at a proper hotel - or if you're really trying to camp, you can go to a real campsite and pay 1/4 of the price. In either case, if a teenage employee makes your kid cry, the very least you could expect was that a manager would do the bare minimum of acknowledging you and your concern. I didn't fly off the handle and demand that heads rolled - I just wanted employees to be respectful to paying guests - and apparently that is far too much to ask of Camp Fimfo. I really hope you reconsider where to spend your money when taking your family camping and choose somewhere else besides Fimfo. I also see that sometimes Fimfo responds to reviews - in this case your chance to respond was back when you made my kid cry in July 2024. Anything at this point would be to try and save face, it will be fake, and I don't want it, so don't bother.
Matt from the Tavern is amazing! Being a first time camper and ver experienced an outdoor activity before, he was AMAZING. Thank you so much for everything you did for my wife and I! Hopefully, whenever we come back, we get to have you as our bartender 🙏
My family and I had the best time at Camp Fimfo ! We originally drove down hours away to experience the Alpine Coaster. But, when we arrived it was canceled due to a wedding party. So instead of driving all the way back home we rented a cabin for the night. Let me just express how awesome our experience was. The following morning Emma Rose the head of the Alpine Coaster team had us fully set up to experience the ride. She also did everything in her power to make sure we had somewhere to stay for the night. She went above and beyond for my family and I can’t thank her enough. I also, want to point out Shelli and Skye located at the Filling station were the most attentive, patient and sweetest women you can come by. You ladies were a huge part of making our experience memorable. So thank you and keep being amazing. If you are ever wondering if you should book a stay like this for your family. I say go for it ! The amenities they provide for families as a whole is so cute.
We had the absolute best time here. I loved almost everything about this place. The views, the rooms, the amenities, the alpine coaster, the golf cart, the family vibes, the water park. I could go on. The staff were wonderful, friendly, and helpful. The only criticism I have is the wait times for the coffee shop and the filling station. Also, on Saturdays the water park is busy. Downright chaotic. There are not enough places to sit and not enough tables. I would've rented a cabana but those were taken. The pool is way too crowded, also. The best time to go is later in the evening. It's less crowded and you can actually relax while your children play. I will say I felt safe at camp fimfo. There was a sense of community that I usually don't feel on vacation.
We are winter Texans and we come here for the weekends and the tavern was closed on a Saturday at 530pm on a holiday weekend. Pretty disappointed that we couldn’t take our friends to have some drinks and a good time. So we had drove over to the river rose and spend our money elsewhere for some drinks and a good time.
