We spent a private weekend at this camp with our pack and it was great. Great facility and plenty to do. Large lake and bathhouse near the campsite were the best. Campsite had a pavilion with power. We rented canoes and went fishing. Would do it again. Make sure you have everything you need the store is 20 min away.

I want to take a minute to thank Camp Frank G Lumpkin for saving our summer camp. I was on here begging for ideas to find a new summer camp after our first camp fell apart. Less then a month before camp started, FGL staff reached out to me and said they could accommodate us and saved our summer camp! I have to say FGL was the best cap we have ever been too. They made sure all classes happened even if only one Scout was in the class. We never visited a class that all of the Scouts were not very involved and engaged. We left with almost no partials and that has never happened. Not only did we not leave with hardly any partials but they went out of their way to help clean up some from last year! The food was great and often more then we could eat and almost all homemade not frozen and reheated. They even had a good sense of humor when my SPL swapped the GA Flag with the FL one as a prank. We will be returning here. I can't thank them enough! IF you are looking for a camp definitely put FGL at the top of your list.

I'm not sure if it's gotten better since I was here, but I went camping here somewhere from 2020 to 2022 - I can't remember. The bathrooms were of awful quality and stank to high heaven. The canteen food was the worst I ever tasted despite then advertising it on their website and bragging about it. In addition to this, they didn't feed us enough. The tents were also disgusting and infested with all sorts of bugs and due to the week fabric that covered the tent, rain would break through and soak us. Finally, on the day before the last day I was there, there was covid outbreak and everyone had to be evacuated. That is just my experience of camp fgl, but it has hopefully gotten better since I was last there. Sincerely, A troop 711 member

The facilities were excellent. The cuisine was very nice in traditional southern hospitality. The defection facilities were very nice (except for the bad trash can placement). The only downside is the staff. The staff are barely qualified/experienced to be teaching merit badges.
