One of the best summer camps in New York. The staff are fantastic, food is great, and camp as a whole is an experience like no other. Update: As of 2024, this review still stands. Great camp, great food, funny staff. Really funny staff

As a boy scout, this camp is a place where you want to go to some people. Some people think the food is excellent. I don't like it, but the staff and the scouts are nice people and the activities are wonderful

Have been going to Gorto. For over 9 years. My boys started in Cubs and will soon be eagles. Camp Gorton has been a pivotal part of that journey. Thank you BSA. Thank you camp gorton and thank you Ranger Jim.

This place has always been another home to me during scouting and I've been able to further expand this feeling due to the opportunity of working here. First off, the staff takes great pride in running the summer camp and puts a lot of time into making everything as accessible, friendly, and educational as they can. Staff is nice, outgoing and will put a lot of time into making your experience memorable. The food from the kitchen is also amazing and each meal is served family style which
