I am brand new to RV life, and am so happy to have found Camp Hale as one of my first real experiences! My spouse and I have been really satisfied with everything the campground has to offer. Looking forward to future upgrades! The staff are so friendly and helpful. I am thrilled to have met them.
Me and my Partner are here now, we were the first ones to camp here when it first opened!!! The host of this amazing ground is one of the most kind-hearted understanding people ever!!! Do you want folks that treat you like families? This is the place for you, quiet [Very Quiet], clean, everyone keeps to themselves. "May your campground be blessed and have many more AWESOME customers in the near future. 🙏 Thank you for being good to us. ❤️
Beautiful campground with an awesome camp host!!! 5 stars, however I have to mention that all amenities were not available. Because the camp recently opened the laundry facility was not available. We came on post at the Fort Carson Laundrette where each load to wash was $4.50. Hopefully Camp Hale’s laundry room will open soon. Our stay was for 1 week. All sites are pull through with tons of space. Great view of Cheyenne Mountain. We use Starlink for internet and most of the sites give an unobstructed view of the sky. When we first arrived unbeknownst to us there was water maintenance and we were without water for most of the day, then when the water restored there was so much sediment our filter clogged and we barely had any water pressure. After replacing the filter we were good to go.
Loved this new Campground. Great camp Host, Michele. We'd give it 5+ if there was a bathroom near the Handicap campsites
To all my military brothers and sisters planning to visit this establishment, I encourage you to think twice. Please allow me to explain: I’m a disabled war veteran and my wife is a cancer survivor with less than a year since her cancer operation. When we got to Camp Hale in early October, the temperature was beginning to drop. I asked the camp host when the camp be winterized. I was told that the conversation was taking place amongst the manager and staff but should be soon. Two weeks later we had two foot of snow hit the ground with temps in the teens. I had no issue with my water spigot because I bagged it myself and I had a heated water hose. However, someone in the park failed to take proper precautions (management and a visitor) and a spigot broke. This led to an abrupt policy creation of EVERYONE disconnecting their water unless you are intermittently filling your freshwater tank. I gave the manager a few tips on how to prevent the freezing of their spigots but the advice fell on deaf ears. The policy was followed up with threats of $50.00 fines for anyone found hooked to the water… and although temps climbed back into the 70s they still refused to allow anyone to use the water supply. This led to the camp manager having her maintenance team take photos of everyone who was hooked to the water and constant harassment about the need to disconnect. The manager refuses to spend the money to winterize the camp sites but wants visitors to pay for broken spigots. Moreover, the manager had no camping/RV experience but she was chosen to run this camp for some reason. We decided to end our stay immediately and requested a refund. I wouldn’t visit this campground again if it were raining diamonds over it. The manager is rude, abrupt, and unprofessional. GET NEW MANAGEMENT THAT KNOWS WHAT THEY’RE DOING.
