This state park has several nature trails with water views. Some of the other state parks along the coast of the Florida panhandle seem to get more praise, but this one exceeded my expectations.
This was the most amazing place to visit on our first visit to Florida. The sand is white, the water clear. It was not crowded at all, it was peaceful & quiet. We came across a ranger who was very polite & very helpful & kind. It is a bit of a walk to get to the beach, but it was doable & so worth it.
Some of the best fishing in the entire state. Brackish water lake that leads into the gulf produces some of the best fishing available.
This is a park in Panama City Beach with a Visitor Center that features exhibits on local wildlife. It is not crowded so quiet place. You can relax here.
Park was easy to find but a little rough to enter due to road work. Visitors Center was really good with some local wildlife exhibits. Bathrooms were very clean. Staff that we talked to were polite, friendly and helpful. If you have issues walking this maybe a little tougher than you are use to. It is about 1.2 mile round trip to the beach and back. Path includes cement. Gravel, small wood bridge, sand and the sand mat they put down. The beach is very nice and normally not many there due to the walk. Make sure you hit the bathroom before heading to the beach 😁.
