Just wanted to give the cashier on Camp Huaco today for helping me setup our fishing pole. Vibe was chill in their store and everyone was very supportive of my first time fishing experience. Will definitely recommend this camp site for their world class customer service 💯
What a wonderful campground! The staff was friendly and helpful! Amenities were in great shape and the location was perfect! Our site had a beautiful view of the water! We had a lovely long relaxing and quiet weekend. We’re excited to come back this summer. We know it will be hustling and bustling but we’re excited to return!!
Absolutely stunning views of the Guadalupe River. Everyone on staff was super friendly and helpful. The RV spots have full hookups, there are plenty of trash cans, and the store has any amenities you may have forgotten. Can't wait to stay here again next year!
I have not camped at this place in years, and my first time stopping at it on my way back home in a long, long time. Bathrooms/showers are way better than I remember them. Campsite as a whole is a lot cleaner and neater. Would be nice if they would add electricity and/or water at some of the tent camping sites. This is 2025 almost. A little further up the road places are getting almost &50 a night and the water access is not nearly as expansive. The RV/travel trailer section is very nice; clean, neat, organized. Several breaks in the rock pathway to the river ; must carefully climb down to get down to the river. . I wouldn’t want to do all that climbing and stepping up and over for days on the end, but short term was OK. Nice, Peaceful .
Stayed here for a couple nights and was very impressed with the campground. If you have a small camper, site 29 is probably the coolest site there. Also, if you need local fishing advice ask one of the employees. Only downside was the restrooms could be a little cleaner, but they weren't so bad as to take a star away.
