This is a nice, remote spot in Southwestern Vermont. I had researched for some time halfway points on our way home from the Northeast Kingdom to Philly. This spot popped up. I found a video or two on YouTube and decided to give it a shot. We got there, drove up to the very end to check campsites along the way. Every one was taken, except the first which was fairly small and a bit muddy for our 5-ton Sprinter. But, I didn’t want to research more campgrounds so we decided to give it a shot. Thankfully, having owned 10-Jeeps over the years I have plenty of experience with off-road driving, especially in mud. I was able to fit in the corner with enough room to open the slide. We really enjoyed our stay, other than the mosquitoes and slight road noise as we were the closest site to the road. The sites are far apart, which is great if your want to run your genny and not worry about disturbing your neighbors … though we did adhere to NFS rules for quiet time. I would definitely stay here again, though just remember camping is suddenly popular during COVID times so make sure to have a backup plan nearby.
Camped here recently. Had to pick up some trash to enjoy it more. Backed my 19’ van in easily. Rangers stopped to check in.
Unfortunately, we had to spend an hour picking up trash and broken glass from smashed bottles before we could set up. Too easily accessible to disrespectful people.
Nice clean campground
