Customer reviews offer mixed feedback. While the grounds and amenities are generally praised for being well-kept and clean, there are significant concerns regarding the camp-provided food. Reviews describe the food as "awful," with mentions of dry pancakes, inedible Mexican corn, and subpar chicken tacos. Some reviewers reported skipping meals and opting for alternative food sources.
Additionally, some reviews mention issues with the camp running out of essential supplies, such as food, toilet paper, paper towels, and soap. There were also complaints about holes in camp-supplied tents. This led to some scouts receiving merit badge partials due to supply shortages and leaders having to purchase food off-site.
Despite the food-related concerns, the camp's grounds and amenities appear to be adequate for scouting events. Therefore, while Camp Long Lake Scout Camp offers a suitable location for scouting activities, potential visitors should be aware of the reported food quality issues and consider alternative food arrangements. It is recommended to contact the camp directly for the most current information and to address any concerns regarding supplies and facilities.

This was our first time here for a Scouting event. We camped from Friday to Sunday morning. The grounds and amenities were very good. Everything is well kept and clean, flush toilets and showers. My only knock on this event was the camp- provided food in the mess hall. In a single word, the food was awful. Dry pancakes falling apart, Mexican corn for lunch was not really edible, chicken tacos were passable at best. We actually skipped dinner and made other plans. We skipped breakfast and had McDonald's instead. Go there for the fun and the amenities. Your Scout will love it. Just don't eat the food... LoL
Cool camp for scouts. Love the target ranges. Food - not so good but hey.
We did the River Rats camp and had great time. Archery, bb guns, rockets, and more.
I got home from Camp Long Lake today. Both my son and I had an amazing time. The staff is amazing. The camp grounds are spacious and clean. We will be back for future camp sessions.
