We had our wedding at Camp Lotus last weekend and it was perfect. LuAnne is great to work with, the grounds are beautiful, cabins are great for getting ready and they had a lot of rental items that helped a ton. Our guests loved the venue and I'm looking forward to staying as a camper in the future.
There was loud music both nights i stayed for my kayak lessons. Friday night, it went until 8:30. And now it's Saturday and a blue grass band is doing a sound check from 5pm on to 6pm. I wanted to have a nice quiet evening by the river. The music is a private party, too, so we're not invited to see the musicians up close. This loud music is not in my plan for resting before a serious kayak lesson weekend.
This is our second time renting a cabin at Camp Lotus. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. The location was perfect, as the property is right on the river. The grounds were clean and well kept. The owners were so nice and very accommodating. We will definitely be returning next summer!
Camp Lotus is so much more than a campground. Whenever I stay there, I run into people who have come back year after year. It's such a warm community of families and friends that happens to be situated on the banks of the American which couldn't be any more beautiful. One of my favorite parts are the amazing Cottonwood trees swaying in the breeze that creates such a relaxing vibe. I'm looking forward to my next visit!
