We rented out the entire camp for my sisters camping themed wedding. It was very beautiful and the cabins were very nice and warm. Each Captain was set up with bunk beds, totaling 12 beds! There were no closets or bathrooms in the cabins, but bathrooms are only a short walk away, like you'd expect at a campground. Although we were not allowed to use any of the camp activities, they had a zip line, a rock climbing wall, and some sort of jungle gym. Each day we had breakfast and dinner in a giant mess hall. It reminded me a lot of my time at Camp Cedar Falls as a kid, and I was surprised to see that it was only a few miles down the road!

I went to Round Meadow 3 times as a camper back in the early 70s with Torrance/South Bay YMCA. My oldest brother was a C.I.T. (Counselor In Training) and my father was the Camp Director one year. Back then the cabins were not enclosed and had no heat or A/C. Just two doorways, a half-wall at the front (with a post in the middle to hold up the roof) and two window openings in the back. There were bunkbeds for our sleeping bags. It was an all-boys camp (same as Camp Whittle. The girls had Little Green Valley). Since there were no girls, we usually went skinny dipping in the pool. I have wonderful memories of those days at Round Meadow. I went back as a C.I.T., then a few times as a counselor. I wish I could back again.

I just want to say how much I love this camp! The Downey branch counselors and directors were very cool with me and I consider them as one of my close friends, not to mention most of them have been going to camp since they were kids, and I wish I did the same as they've done! They are one of the most prominent people in my life and I'll most definitely return because I enjoyed being friends with them! Just want to show how much I appreciate their love and support! Also some of them went to Downey and Warren High School! 🏕⛰🏔😌😊😄😎👍❤💛❤💛💯

I loved this camp so much. I would definitely recommend this to any people who want to get away from tech or just be in nature. There are so many things to do and the campsite is beautiful, with a great place to snowball fight 30 feet in front of the camp site.
