We had lunch at Camp Margaritaville RV Resort on Christmas Day, and while the experience wasn’t bad, it didn’t quite meet my expectations. The restaurant offered all the usual holiday meal items, and everything tasted good, but it lacked the homemade feel I was hoping for. The service, however, was great. The staff checked on us frequently and made sure we had everything we needed, which we really appreciated. At around $50 per person, I expected something a bit more special, especially for a holiday meal. It’s clear that the team works hard to provide a good dining experience, and I respect the effort they put into serving on such a busy day. While it wasn’t the right choice for us this time, I’m sure others may enjoy the convenience and atmosphere of dining here.
Service is great. Didn’t run into a single employee that wasn’t a delight. Location is nice and convenient. Couple complaints: it’s loud. The lazy river/pool music is so loud you can’t rest until like midnight. The hallway speakers are rather loud all night. Walls are very thin so you can’t rest until also hear everything going on in each room. Our room was not fully clean, but the housekeeper came up and cleaned it and was so pleasant.
The room was beyond expectation! The staff at check in were so polite, and Johnny at the bar tonight was on point with our food and drinks and was absolutely amazing! He even went above and beyond to make sure we were able to get our food when we arrived late! He is a super Rockstar! Thanks so much Johnny, we can't wait to stay at the Island and see you the next time. This is our first time but definitely far from our last after such a great first impression from staff.
We had our family reunion here in July 2024. My husband and I stayed in our Class A motorhome in the super site. We prepared meals for our reunion. The site was extremely large great for our family. The other family members stayed at the lodge and they enjoyed everything about it and some are planning a return visit. We've camped here several times since they open. Never disappointed. From planning with their group department, staff bringing us ice, front desk staff and the lazy river was everything!!! Everything was amazingly beautiful
