Camp Moxy Jo's

We had an amazing time at Camp Moxy Jos! Every space was so thoughtfully curated and just absolutely adorable. It was very clean inside and out. We loved petting the goats and playing board games in the rainy day shelter. There were multiple barbeques and cooking gear available for use as well as 2 or 3 places to get a nice warm fire going. The owners and staff are the sweetest and were super helpful and accommodating. We loved it at Camp Moxy Jos. It was perfect for a little getaway and had a grown up summer camp feel. We'll definitely be back

I have stayed all over the world and as a female traveller I’m always looking for unique, safe stays with kind people. Jo & Sanjay are that & more and I would 100% stay again! The property is so unique & better in person & I could totally see coming back with friends or having a family gathering. The area is close to the gorgeous ocean front state park and I found all the amenities & scenery I needed. I biked everywhere (Sanjay kindly gave me his bike & he even ran out to get a lock for it) The goats add entertainment & joy & the “Pit stop” and “Rainy Day Shelter” made me wish it was raining so I could enjoy the coziness of these cool spaces (I could have but it was warm when I visited) I had the most amazing stay here & feel Jo & Sanjay have thought of everything & offered comfort items nobody has extended at any of my stays worldwide. They perfectly balanced being there for me (they live at the front of the property) with giving me privacy. Don’t waste your time at dull hotel rooms &/ or overpriced predictable rentals - be adventurous, try something new & support a couple’s very cool business venture! 😀 I added a couple of pics -I stayed in Green Bean (SUCH a comfy bed & adorable space btw!) and as a closet artist I find it hard to get inspired -I totally felt eager to paint here!

I have to start by saying this review should have been written months ago. I apologize to Camp Moxy Jo's Joanna and Sanjay for the extreme delay. We rented Camp Moxy Jo's for our wedding reception in August 2024. When my husband and I had difficultly finding the right place for the ceremony we asked if we could have it at CMJ's also. They agreed. We were their first wedding. I honestly can't imagine a better place for our wedding and reception. Joanna and Sanjay were so amazing to work with. From the minute we arrived to look at the venue and meet them, it just felt right. Their approach to hosting was a complete throwback to real customer service like we used to get 30 years ago. They approached every aspect of planning, coordination, special requests, accommodations for our guests, last minute rain forecast requiring us to start setup a day early, letting us use their garage space for a special group art project during the reception, and more with "I think we can make that work" or "absolutely, of course we can". Wedding planning is difficult but they did everything possible to make sure that our wedding was everything we wanted. They were beyond helpful. They even helped us find a DJ when ours ended up being unavailable that weekend. Everyone that attended loved the venue and all they have to offer. The vintage vibe was such a great fit for us and our guests. It was so much fun talking with everyone afterwards about what they liked most about Camp Moxy Jo's. Everyone loved it but different elements of the property and amenities resonated with different people. Some loved the vintage campers and trailers and others loved the outdoor covered kitchen "rainy day shelter". The kids loved the community art wall and the goats. Everyone loved the outdoor firepits and vintage camping chairs. My husband and I especially love the tiki bar and the Lightfoot Lounge. Our absolute favorite thing above all else... Joanna and Sanjay. We consider them friends now. They are simply wonderful people. I would be happy to talk with anyone interested in the venue. Just ask them for my phone number and give me a call. Love the atmosphere, decor, style...everything about Camp Moxy Jo's! It is clear that the owners put a lot of thought and care into every detail about the entire camp, from the lounge areas, to the Tiki bar, to the camp fire and, especially, the campers. The campers feel like a vintage time warp in the best way possible. The hosts were welcoming, very friendly and made sure our experience was all-around amazing. My family, including my 3 year old son, LOVED Moxy JO's and can't wait to return!

So much fun! The hosts are amazing the property as unique. What a great place to camp and have fun. It’s the perfect retro getaway in the city. A great place for a large group to completely run out and have a themed fun weekend. I would definitely recommend for anybody to stay here no matter the size of Group. And get ready to relive the greatest parts of the 70s and 80s
