This is an open meadow for camping at the Boy Scout campground, Camp Naish. There is a nearby training post, large pavilion, large restroom and showerhouse, and a few cabins for staff. This open field only gets used for camping in the spring and fall. Nearby campsites are used for Cub Scout summer camps - Bear Camp.
