Sent my daughter to camp there last week. She had ZERO complaints about cleanliness, maintenance issues, facilities- not ONE complaint. Thank you! You helped make her last youth camp relaxing and memorable.
Great Scout Camp. The pine trees whisper me to sleep.
Wonderful camp my boys really enjoy this camp. Every time I go there is a new update by the Ranger Jamie. He is always helpful and willing to open the trading-post at any time that we need it. He has done a great job with the trading post and keeps it really well stocked. If you plan to come to this camp better bring some money because there is some really cool knives and gadgets that you will want once you lay eyes on them. This camp has showers which are also newly built. Also have some great bunks that have been remolded since the new ranger took over. I'm going back to the camp in a week; and is very excited to camp here. Every Boy Scout Camp in America should be just like this one.
I had so many good experiences with my fellow scouts at that camp. I remember my Troop leader was an excellent teacher and guide in the Scouts. He also told good stories to all the troops next to the lake on those week long camping trips.
Generations of Southern Illinoisans spent wonderful summer days here. Best summer job there is.
