Super fun! I went as a cadet and I believe all of my cadets enjoyed. There's rock climbing, archery, and a zip line that sadly isn't being used at the moment. There is a man-made lake that boy scouts use for kayaking and canoeing. Definitely excited for our next trip!
I went here in 6th grade, 3/11/24 - 3/13/24. I still remember everything about this place, great foods, great cabin, beautiful location, awesome staff, and I made many memories here. It’s a great a place in general.
I was at the 6th grade camping trip 3/20 - 3/23 group 3. It was amazing!! Like, all the activities were so fun! And the food was so delicious! One of my favorite activities was making a raft, playing with the small creek was fun. I also really liked the sketching activity. The staff were awesome and made this camping trip very fun! I would like to say thank you to Romeo and Derek, it’s been very fun till it lasted.
I actually went on a 6th grade camping trip too, on 3/11 - 3/13, and it was SO GOOD!!!! The food was absolutely delicious, the activities were fun and also educational, the cabin's were clean, comfortable, and luxurious. The only part I did not like is the bus ride. But the camp is very relvent, and even the showers and toilets are modern. Thank you Ben, Jasper, Adams, Grahams, and Mr. Derek. For all those fun games, like Bob the Weasle, Name Game, and Concentration. A part of my life I shall never forget.
I really want to say I love this place. However, I don't have much experience. The winter camp session we were scheduled for was rescheduled 2 days prior due to weather. However the weather was gorgeous & there was plenty of snow on the ground (some families with older &/non scouts rented cabins nearby which couldn't be canceled, so was able to report on the mountain conditions...). The rescheduled event was canceled due to a power outage. However, as some were already on the mountain, we were allowed to stay overnight (it was really foggy, dark & difficult to see the road). They ordered pizza & fed us breakfast. Then we left. (Un)Fortunately, there wasn't any snow on the ground our entire time there. BUT while we were there (in the morning) I saw the most beautiful camp ground I'd ever seen (I hate camping & am not familiar with a lot of campgrounds so take that with a grain of salt). The cabins were huge. There were 4 bed rooms with 2 different layouts (8 bunks & 12, maybe). My scout & I chose to sleep in an 8 bunk room as it was smaller & thus more likely to stay warm without the heater... There was a great room with a kitchenette (full fridge, oven/stove, microwave & coffee pot) 2 patios flanking the great room with stunning views. There were numerous restrooms with completely separate shower stalls (maybe 4 of each, all with their own doors). Where we ate breakfast had a huge rock climbing wall. I'm told that under normal circumstances, they have staff available to belay the kids, & thus, it is part of the camp activities. Per the pic, there's a big lake, maybe its a pond (I'm a city kid...) so that seems like a fun summer experience. Idk if it freezes enough to permit ice skating in the winter... The staff were super friendly, which is in line with all of our scouting adventures. We really hope to attend a winter camp there. I can't wait to see it covered in snow. I'm sure my scout would love to attend summer camp there. I'd appreciate the central AC/heating, electricity, fridge & decent beds (the mattresses are still more likely cots than a Sealy or Beautyrest, so you still need a sleeping bag. But a camping air mattress or camping pad wasn't necessary) and a "tranquil" place to sit & watch the kids make memories & new friends.
