Camp Richardson is our go to place. It has always been the first stop whenever we visit Lake Tahoe. We absolutely love the view here. One can just relax on the beach and look at the stunning view endlessly. It offers a panoramic view of the Sierra mountains and the lake. We also stayed at the cabin here and it was such a great experience. Waking up in the middle of the woods and just walking a few steps to get to the beach! The cabin we rented was perfect for 2 people. We stayed at the cabin for 2 nights. It has a room, kitchen and a bathroom. Also a BBQ grill outside the cabin. The staff at the check-in counter were very helpful. During summer this place is ideal for water activities. We once brought our own inflatable kayak and launched from this beach. The place also has a boat rental store. We have rented paddle boats and kayaks from here and the staff is very friendly. However it was closed in fall as well as winter. The restaurant also was closed in Winter. We've dined at the restaurant during Summer and it has a great vibe! Popular for rum runner and the food also was good!
This beach gets packed! The fist couple of feet are pretty rocky, but that seemed typical with other sites we visited as well. The picnic tables are nice. The bathrooms frequently run out of soap though. Honestly wasn't worth the $10 parking fee for me.
Everything was great , just make sure to follow all the instructions about safety , we got to see more than one bear around the camp , please bring firewood , i got to buy mine at the store and it was wet 😒.
Made a valid reservation (spot was free online) when they immediately canceled the booking without any reason. I sent an email - could have been a mistake, right? Never heard anything back. Very disappointing.
Paid $240 a night for the Beachside Inn room and found a glow stick underneath my daughter's body at 3 a.m. in the bed which means they didn't even bother to change the sheets. Beware you could possibly find a used condom since they take such good care. They DO NOT VACUUM. Guess they forgot there's a pandemic.
