Loved it here. Spent a long weekend with family and friends (13 of us....7 rv's). The owners went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The park is clean and well maintained. They are doing lots of upgrades. Bath facilities were spotless. Definitely recommend. We hope to go back.
What a great Campground! The hosts are very easy going and friendly, checking on the campers often. They made sure we had what we needed to enjoy our stay. Very dog friendly Very clean restrooms and showers Very clean campsites! We will be visiting Camp Rio again!
The owners make it ugly, but still one of the most beautiful places on earth! The area, not the campground. I still can't deny that. But, the owners have much to be desired. (Including their live in security mutt who likes to yell at children for skipping rocks in the river) Maybe not to the consumer, ie., hunters, campers, adventurers, although if you are a work camper beware. They like to overwork their hosts for a FHU. And add to the daily roster what they like to call "projects". I would say what they mean is "take advantage". Most things in this "new" park are ramshackle at best. So campers, try not to cringe on the overpriced campspots, and work campers there are plenty of other camp host positions in NM, do your research to find a great fit for you. As an Ex camp host here, I would recommend shopping around for a better atmosphere. I know Deer Springs is beautiful, and just around the corner from all the great amenities the area has to offer.
This place is phenomenal. I was in the area for work and stayed here for about 3 months and I tell you what, leaving and going back to reality was rough. Owners, hosts and staff are super kind, friendly and helpful beyond words. Great location, great weather and such a great vibe as soon as you get out of your vehicle pulling in. Can’t wait to get back there again. Thank y’all for the hospitality and wonderful stay.
We had a fantastic visit. The camp was beautiful and clean. We stayed at the bell tent site it was perfect. The camp host were super nice and accommodating. We also tried the food truck. The Mac n cheese bites were amazing.
