Stayed in Site #8, July 9-11. 2020. Great campsite! It was very dusty, but great fire grate, cooked dinner on cast iron griddle. Could easily get 4-5 tents up. Picnic table, close to pit bathroom, cleaned every morning by 9:00. River access is shallow in this area, so great for kids and dogs. Path along river to Camp Sherman general store a little over an easy mile walk. Sites are very spread out, walk in only from parking area. Great during Covid-19 pandemic!

We had a great time hiking the trail that runs alongside the Metolius River. The RV spaces are ok but there's not alot of room to park towing vehicles. Park is within walking distance to a store and Mexican restaurant. The staff is friendly. Bathrooms are old but clean. Location in the tall pine tree forest of Central Oregon is amazing. Be sure to visit the Sisters Bakery for coffee and a sweet treat while camping here. It's worth the short distance into town.
