Camp Tahquitz

My troop went here every summer of my scouting career. It has become my favorite place in the world. Great verity of activities and merit badges, and a wonderfully kind and capable staff.

My webelos said it was the funnest camp he's attended. He loved all of the activities and the new things he learned. His favorite was the bb gun shooting. The kitchen staff were accommodating to our vegan request. The troop leaders were great role models to the cubs. The parent volunteers were very organized. I highly recommend this camping experience.

We used Camp Tahquitz as a base for a winter camping weekend. Half the scouts stayed in the cabins and the other half camped nearby in tents. Facilities were excellent. Camp host was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.

Out Scout troop comes here every winter to stay in the cabins. As always, our boys had a fantastic time. Ranger Joe is friendly and keeps the facilities in good repair.

Great facility, clean, welcoming, incredible kitchen. Our troop has been coming to Taquitz for years and it is the highlight of the year for many of our scouts!

Our scout troop had family camp in #17. It was a nice spot with running water, picnic tables, a shelter, trash cans, bear boxes and bathrooms. The friendly hosts checked on us and took away our trash. We had a nice 5 mile hike straight from our camp site. Highly recommend and will come back!

Camp Tahquitz has been a scouting destination for decades. Our Troop from Orange County had a awesome scouting experience in the dead of winter. Able to explore the beauty and nature that is preserved in the mountain setting. Camp Tahquitz opened its gates to year round camping and I encourage all Scouting America Troops to take advantage of the splendor it has to offer. Thanks for the experiences our troop members made memories to last for a very long time into the future.
