The place is incredibly peaceful. We've visited several times and are amazed by its tranquility. We've spotted eagles, enjoyed fishing, and find the new hosts fantastic.

Very rude owners. We were originally yearly campers who have been with this campground before the new owners took over. With each year they have raised the rent on our site with no improvement. We originally started at $1200 a year 5 years ago. They are currently charging new renters $2250 and have done nothing to upgrade the campsites. No new gravel. No clearing of the banks. No availability to get safely to the river. The riverbanks are covered in poison ivy and poison sumac. My daughter got poison sumac so bad she was hospitalized from the campground bank. I have felt bad for the airbnb guests. Their shower is outdoors, not 15 feet from a main highway. The road noise is very disappointing. And the parking is limited. We live very close to this site and drive by it daily. Very sad we are unwelcome to our own campsite to inspect our camper unless we get prior approval each time. They have cameras everywhere but we are untrustworthy. New owners never stop to talk or chat. I have never formally met Leigh but Jon has always been very rude. To the point we are no longer going to camp there. Update since the response from owner: I only stated we started at $1200 and was increasing. And new renters were paying $2250. No improvements have been made to the sites. Which is entirely true. Yes we have not paid yet. My husband texted that it would be paid late before he signed your contract. It was late because we have had reservations about renewal, obviously warrented, because there has been no improvements made to the campsites. You had no problem tacking on a $100 late fee, which is not in the contract. I stated nothing false. The fire actually started on the banks from cleaning out our fire ring. The hot coals took off among the leaves and we put it out immediately. (It didn't get far, I have pictures if you wouldlike to see) Ron talked to you to let you know, thinking it was a good idea to burn the banks to get rid of all the poison ivy and sumac and you agreed, but Jon quickly called him back told us not to, worried it would erode the bank. Which we did not burn the entire bank. Get your facts straight. We cleaned it manually by hand for 3 days working with neighbors and family. ( I have pictures of this too) I would have been glad to attend your welcome party, but was moving my sister to Arizona. Ron attended for me and told you where I was and I was sorry for missing. So sad we have been treated with such hate. I hope you learn to identify poison sumac, because it covers your entire riverbank. Along with poison ivy. It grows up 3 of the trees on our lot. I have always kept it cut back. My family knows not to go on the riverbank because of the sumac and we always enjoyed the traffic passing by, most of our friends would beep and stop by to visit. We would always keep an eye on things living so close by. Obviously not appreciated and you won't have to worry again. Seems you are more interested in your 99+ airbnb guests more than your campers. And that is all the reviews you are talking about, right? Your airbnb guests? Its great you treat the airbnb people so amazingly well. Campers not so much. Once you run all the campers off you will have plenty of room for more airbnbs.
