We tent camped for 1 night in September on a weekend getaway to Lake Wilhelm. This is an established seasonal RV camp but they also have cabins & RV and Tent spots for those coming for a short stay. We chose this campground for its location to the lake (a few minutes drive to a launch) & we were very pleased with our site, the amenities & the privacy. We had a fire ring, picnic table and spacious flat spot for our tent near a bathroom/shower house. We will definitely come back for a stay the next time we visit the lake.
This place is horrible, if you’re looking to enjoy the lake, wildlife with your kids, roasting marshmellows and catching lightning bugs this is not the place to stay at. Our kids and there cousins were sleeping in a bunk next to a tent lot when they were being “to loud” inside the paper thin wall bunker. The next morning without a warning or notice of any kind, we were asked to leave by the very rude owner. If you’re looking for a place to eat, sleep, and shut up, this is the place for you.
My family and I had such a wonderful time. The atmosphere was amazing, the locals and non-locals were all very friendly and kind. We had both cabins 1 & 3...each had it's own awesomeness about it... Ms. Mary was wonderfully inviting over the phone, and even more in person..(she's a hugger, and so am I)🥰 her staff were just as great as she.. We will most definitely be back...sooner than later❣️ May God Bless You All💞 HEIDI H.
We are seasonal campers and I must say, this campground is amazing! Mary and Eric are amazing people and have a great compliment of staff and helpers around the campground. There are plenty of activities during the season and the snack bar serves up some amazing food. Store is always stocked and the arcade area is great for the kids. Pool is heated and very clean. Very kid and pet friendly and easy to get around. Not a far drive if you live in the Pittsburgh area. The location is in great proximity to I-79 and I-80. The campgrounds is also located close to Goddard State Park. If you're willing to take a short drive, there are also many local attractions in the area. This campground can make for a great, quick weekend getaway or more long term trip to the area. Prices here are also very reasonably. Comparative to other campgrounds and amenities, you get a lot of bang for your buck here. My family and I love camping here, and we look forward to each visit. I highly recommend if you're looking for a nice getaway, at a very affordable cost.
We had a great time there. The bunk house was cute for the two of us. We are lookingforwardtogoingbackagainnext year. Friendly people and staff.
An amazing place for summertime getaways. Had to leave due to health issues but would have loved to of stayed forever. Good people!!
