Absolutely love this place. I came a few weekends ago and love it so we decided to do a family weekend this weekend and we had a blast. For the most part it’s quiet there’s some that do like to be loud but they respond and handle the situation professionally. I will definitely be coming back every weekend we get the chance. Everything was well maintained except 1 lean to at map #6 which was used as everyone’s bathroom assuming because it smelled bad and a really strong smell of urine. Those minor things mean nothing when you see how gorgeous it is. The hiking trails are easy scenic trails that you must hike if you come stay. Mike has been amazing and very helpful along with fast when it comes to pleasing the campers, making sure everyone is respected and making sure we’re all happy while we stay. They also sell bundles of wood and I will not buy from anyone else. I bought 5 bundles and it lasted from Friday to Sunday morning. You can’t beat it between hiking, fishing and just relaxing enjoying the amazing land and sounds this camp has it all in one place. Thank you so much for having us we’ve had a blast and look forward to coming back as much as we possibly can.

Campsite 2 was terrible and shouldn’t be an option to rent out. The only spot to put your tent is 2 feet away from community porta John. People literally drove through our campsite with their cars in the middle of the night. Site is not managed, maintained or policed well. Loud music could be heard through out the woods up to 3 am. Garbage and safety hazards everywhere. Other sites did look ok. Not campsite 2 tho! Stay away from campsite 2

We stayed at lakeside lean-to (#6) and had a great time. There was a fire pit and a charcoal grill with a nice view of the lake and good shelter under the lean-to when it rained. No black-bear sightings but lots of wildlife about if you look and listen. I would’ve left 5 stars but ONLY complaint was in regards to the latrine. I completely understand that this is a rustic campground and loved the experience overall, but the latrine was not kept clean at all. If you’re going to stay here please clean up after yourself :)

The location itself is lovely, but unfortunately the sites require a lot of cleanup to be usable. When we arrived to set up camp, we noticed the ground was covered in shattered glass. The glass carpeted the site itself, and the surrounding area, going right down to the trail. We checked a couple of other available sites and saw more shattered glass covering the ground, discarded opened tin cans and other garbage. One even had a toxic, half burned railroad tie. As we were unable to stay due to safety concerns, I reached out to the site contact to advise accordingly. Once the camp contact was made aware of the situation, they were quick to process a refund and confirmed they will be visiting to clean up the site.

Fantastic campsite with a ton of great hiking trails and activities. The base campsite is very large and can fit 80+ people easily. There are plenty of leantu locations that fit 5-6 cots comfortably in each shelter. The campsite is clean, well maintained and has something new each year. The pond is large and stocked with largemouth bass, small mouth bass, Bluegill fish, and coi fish. There are many spots to fish from and a great family friendly campsite. If you do plan on staying overnight, pack an extra coast and be careful of snakes near the water and black bear. There are bear sightings and tracks near the trails at time.
