When arriving to location I wasn't sure of what to expect. Went inside and was impressed by the area. Before and after pics. Professional Events Touch and etc. was able to transform the room in a few hours. Looking forward to having a family reunion there. Staff was very accommodating and patient. We had access to the kitchen area and also the hall.
The memories of camp yomechas the way we would even play basketball, swim at the pool and even learn to canoe, and the C.I.T.s (counselors in training) oh man they made sure we had a fun time, even at rhe bonfire and we would sing rhe camp song even with native American music coming thru thag most peope couldn't hear except for a select few, please respect native American grounds, I even kissed a beautiful girl their at the kissing booth her and I even shared a slice of pizza at MMC club i even saved her and others from horse poop and mud that day on the bus when the bus almost went full muddle! Camp yomechas proud even those tye die shirts and those laughs and boxed but paper bagged lunches! MHS class of 2003! We rock Camp Yomechas! AND YES CAMP YOMECHAS YOU ROCK! even when those other campers and cits would try to come over and steal our canoes and paddle boards and even the girls and the food even on those sleepovers but hey we would all still respect the lake! I would post a throwback pic but hey that's why it's called Facebook! And a Kodak moment so sacred and special even my KK knows that! $0.25 / kiss hey I stole her heart even that day! But hey we all still told ghost stories but remember not all those that hear a ghost story that says they are fake truly believe in sipirits until theyve had their encounter even of the 3rd kind, just remember don't piss off the lake! Even in Maine at my cabin! I am yes native American but am also a good person that won't lie.
Camp Yomechas located on Tispaquit Lake in Middleboro is a great hidden oasis for families of the Old Colony YMCA! Sign your child up for camp here and they are sure to have a great time!!! They offer 2 outdoor pools, recreational areas for sports, arts and crafts, horseback riding for an additional charge, and canoeing on the lake!
I went to day camp here as a kid so i thought it would be fun to take my kids camping for the weekend. We had such a great time the property is just as beautiful. We swam in the pools and kyaked in the lake and had a camp fire at night and cooked outside on the fire pit/grill they have at the sights. We got a tent sight and slept in our tent during a down pour (and stayed dry) . The woman who runs the camp Sharon is such a nice person, she goes above and beyond to ensure you make happy memories with your family. We will definitely return to do it again! Thank you Sharon...
The grounds are so poorly maintained. Potholes are everywhere. When it rains there are pools of muddy stagnant water all over the grounds. Even where the kids gather at the main area. The pond is filled with trash including traffic cones. The only access road is a narrow road which is shared by incoming and exiting traffic. You have to drive off the road into the overgrown bushes leaving scratches all over your car
