This was the first time we've been to Campers Cove, The first of many visits I hope. The owners were lovely, kind people. The park itself was clean and there was something to do for everyone! Thank you for giving us a great long weekend... We'll be back

I used to love going camping at campers cove, a lot of us used to absolutely love it that are even from that town and we would still go out there just to enjoy ourselves and be on a little mini vacation! Well now I don't live there anymore I live an hour away and I went up there and had my ex-husbandkid's dad go there and pay for the site for me and he ended up talking to the people and everything was cool and we get there and the first thing the man asked me was if I was homeless!? I'm like no I don't even live here, you must be having problems with that though lately? And he said yes that he does not want to allow any of the homeless in Alpena to camp at his campground, then he got rude with me the next day about the site I was camped at because apparently I wasn't supposed to be at that site I was supposed to be at one right across the little road from it and I did not know that! the girl that told me where to go did not give me a lot number she only pointed in the direction of where to go, so he then commences to have an attitude in general I've been told that people have been in arguments with this man etc.. and I don't know who this guy really thinks he is because that campground is not that high tech and he's losing customers cuz there was hardly anybody there when we were there and it was at the end of the summer so it wasn't off season! He was rude about us having a tent, couple tents and told us that there was only one site in that whole campground that is rustic, which is ridiculous so what's he going to do now start turning away tents? How much more judgmental and full of discrimination can you get? The man seems full of hatred he doesn't seem like he should be doing what he's doing! I don't think he's in the right position in his life right now because he is not nice by any means! I kind of felt offended to be asked if I was homeless to be honest! 😔

The owners are very helpful and knowledgeable on campers, when we had an issue with our toilet. Three year in a row and still enjoying it!

What a neat place. Kayak, canoe, pontoon boats, bikes.. it's all available to rent. Volleyball court, mini golf, indoor heated pool. Plenty to stay entertained. We liked the place, but the week we were there, the military were running training exercises so there were constantly loud jets overhead. No fault of the campground, but annoying when trying to relax. Still, we will return!

Stayed at Campers cove for a week. Arrived on a Saturday. The campsite was Dirt/gravel. Not super level, there had been heavy rains over the past few days which didn’t help much with settling up the trailer, the ground was soft which allowed the trailer to sink down slightly, no fault of the campground, it just happens. They did have have water issues at the campsite, would work fine one time then shut down. took a couple of days for them to get that cleared up. Bear in mind they had just opened up for the season and were still working out some of the bugs, which I understand. Alpena itself is a very laid back community, very clean environment at least from my perspective. If you want to get away from the big cities and crowds, this is the place to be. They do have tent camping and kayak and I believe pontoon rentals as well. Huge supply of firewood, and an indoor pool and spa. I did not check that out though. Indoor pools aren’t my thing, really.
