Customer Reviews
I highly recommend this Campground! It was one of my favorite camping experiences so far! All the facilities: are in a great shape, very clean (cleaned very well every day!) and looking as new! Shower always had a very warm water with great pressure, which made the camping experience so much more enjoyable. As you can see in the pictures, everything is really kept nice and tidy. Each campsite has enough space for you to park your car, and set up a nice big tent. Easy access to electricity if needed. The park itself is very charming. We stayed there in November so we no longer could go into the spring as manatees were already present. But it was fun to watch them from the shore anyways. Water is crystal clear and very beautiful. If you want to have a nice camping experience, Blue Springs State Park Campground is for you!
Level site, clean bathrooms, beautiful springs. We stayed 2 nights in site 37. The site was almost perfectly level from side to side. We liked the thick foliage surrounding most of the site. Site 37 might be a little tight for a larger camper, but it was perfect for our teardrop setup. The bathhouse was fairly new and extremely well kept thanks to great volunteers like Anne. Thanks Anne! We had 3+ bars on Verizon and were able to stream movies. The nearby town seems to be a bedroom community so not a lot of things to see outside the park, but if you’re into walks, the springs boardwalk is great. It was one of the coldest weeks at the park when we were there, so we were able to see lots of manatees hanging out in the warm springs. Great campsite and park. We’ll return next time we’re in the area.
Camped in sight 12. Even though we had neighbors on either side we still felt secluded. Went to see the manatee at the springs, toured the Thursby house, then went to Casedega. PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: In every country and city, in every place where civilized society live, they have one rule in common. Pick up your dogs droppings. Pick it up. Don’t be a dirty bird.
Nice campground, heavy foliage in between sites so they are very private from your neighbor. Clean bathrooms and hot showers. Only wish that all sites were paved or at least gravel… the sand is not ideal. Also, the dump station is kind of far from the road so if you don’t have a long enough hose, this could cause issues as proven when we arrived and saw a big mess…
So many manatees! Couldn’t swim with them on last visit due to the numbers but when not in season you can get into the spring. The sheer amount of fish in there is amazing! A must snorkel. Bring your bike and take a ride or just hike through the park to see the gorgeous fauna. I will plan to RV there very soon.
