Nice campground for an affordable price! We stayed in basic spot 272 on the water front near the marina so no electricity or water except a community water source close by, it was $15/night. The spot was good, although most of their spots do not have great areas for tents, but it had easy access to the water, it was close to the marina bathrooms, and only a short uphill hike to the shower house. Everything was very clean from the bathrooms to the site itself. The marina has drinks and snacks, and there’s a gas station right across the street with food, some produce, fishing gear, camping gear, and drinks. We were able to get firewood, ice, and other supplies as needed. Overall great experience!
Camp site was clean, the folks working at the park were friendly. I had site 280 which is right on the lake, so I had plenty of opportunities to take my row boat out. My only complaint is that the sites are very close together, but if you're just looking for a cheap place to pitch your tent, look no further.
Had site 237 basic. Van camped, afternoon sun was thwarted by my shade set up. I was across from the garbage bin but really wasn't bad as most people left today (Memorial Day) and the pickup service took it all away today. Very clean campground. Bathrooms are nice also. The basic campsites with quick access to the lake have NO shade. Beware the ticks on the mowed path down to the water. Bring a fly swatter for those dang flies at campsite.
To be fair the yurt is nice on the inside it is well decorated and inviting. So when arrived there everything seemed to be fine until further into the stay. We noticed that they don't really pay attention to some things there were mouse poop behind the trash can and it sat out from the wall a little bit and also mouse poop in the bottom stove drawer looked liked it had not been cleaned in a little while if it had then the cleaning staff just didn't care. The kicker was around eleven o'clock at night when I turned all the lights off the bed bugs started coming out. We got all of our stuff as quickly as possible and got it loaded back into the truck and we left and went and found a hotel to stay in. The yurt is not right by the lake you can see it but it's not right by it. Also it's in the middle of a bunch of RV sites and is quite noisey. All things said we could have delt with it all but the Bed Bugs that was a deal breaker.
Overall a very nice campground. We were right across from the bathroom block and the playground so our kids always had something to do. I'm not a big camper so I was really pleased that the bathrooms were so nice...4 stalls on each side for both men and women, 8 separate shower rooms, and a laundry room. They were very clean and felt private. The beach itself was just a little rocky strip but we enjoyed ourselves and 5 stars for a great restroom! :)
